    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

What other documentation do you have on the car? Have you thoroughly searched for a Broadcast Sheet? There are known LA-built E-bodies that have a Broadcast Sheet. The standard engine on a 1970 Cuda (VIN starting with BS) is the 383 with a standard 3-Speed manual. That is why it is always...

    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

1970 Cuda 383 with A/C had a 26" radiator. The radiator chart shows both the core stamped number 2998 958 & 2998 961 but the 961 is the 383-4 BBL radiator. The 956 may also be correct as it is listed under Maximum Cooling. Glen-Ray Radiators has outstanding reproduction radiators that include...

    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

And here is an example of an A04 - Basic Group being ordered on a 1970 Barracuda GranCoupe convertible with an upgrade to R22 - AM/8-Track for $134.75 as per the pricing bulletin. These radios were not cheap even in 1970!

    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

As for the Y39 - Special Order, the info from this chart shows that the Y39 cars received a VON starting with a letter J or K. Your fender tag shows a Vehicle Order Number (VON) of 096678 which would have been on the dealer's order form at the top right. It is not likely that your car was a Y39...

    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

The only three 1970 Barracuda/Cuda radio option codes are R11, R22, and R35. Note that all radios are optional. You could get a radio with the A04 - Basic Group which included the R11 - AM Radio or you could upgrade that option to a better radio OR you could just order a radio. Otherwise, you...

    1970 E-body Radio option code R21

I must say, before providing the below info, that none of this is personal and you should not take it that way. This forum is about the car(s), not personalities. The facts as we know them from decades of research and reference material tell us a lot about what is correct and what is not. There...

    '70 Cuda 340 - Fuel Vent Line

Lots of info from Moparts Connection Magazine's "Comeback Cuda" project but not sure if that wheelwell pinchweld seam clip is mentioned or even available. I did some preliminary searches but no luck finding it. Anyone else have info or a source to assist @Desert 70 Cuda?

The Broadcast Sheet would clear up all of the issues but Los Angeles cars are notorious for not having a sheet.

    Challenger dash speaker size

Home | S&M Electro-Tech has 4x10 front dash speakers for $60.95 There is also good info at Classic Car Speakers which is the old SM Electrotech site. They also sell a dual 3-1/2" cone unit that fits the 4x10 opening. The RetroSound D-412 4x10 speaker is another alternative.

    '70 Cuda 340 - Fuel Vent Line

The lines do not look like they are bent correctly or you need to push them further into the trunk so those bends angle them toward the wheel tub pinchweld.

V6X- Body side tape trim (Need Decoded)

X is always Black. Your Broadcast Sheet and Window Sticker both show V6X so it is a black vinyl tape stripe for Gran Coupe only.

V6X- Body side tape trim (Need Decoded)

And here is the 1971 Barracuda Pocket Salesman Guide page showing the pricing for each available stripe. This info shows there is a BODY SIDE TAPE STRIPE for $14.25 which is Gran Coupe ONLY and replaces the V7 painted stripe that came standard on 71 Gran Coupes. I believe it is option code V6X...

V6X- Body side tape trim (Need Decoded)

Okay, found some info from the 1971 Barracuda dealer brochure. Note the double pin stripe from the door top edge all the way across the front fender. This would be the V7W BODY SIDE PAINT STRIPE versus the V6X BODY SIDE TAPE STRIPE which I believe is a vinyl two-part, full-length pinstripe and...

V6X- Body side tape trim (Need Decoded)

I agree that the stripe code on the window sticker is hard to make out but is actually a V6X BODY SIDE TAPE STRIPE with a $14.25 cost. Your Broadcast Sheet coding proves it is V6X. V5X is normally the body side moulding so I pulled a BP Gran Coupe window sticker with the V5X and the description...
