drivers side cable control routing for mirror

The cable routing depends on if you are working on a 1970 or a 1971-74 E-Body. The 1970 has a one-year-only bracket and metal clips. The 1971-74 has the plastic clip and metal clips. The metal doors all have the hole prepunched for the remote mirror control. Your interior door panel should have...

    1970 Cuda decklid differences??

I marked up the locations under the decklid for the visible knockout holes. The green circled locations are not visible under the decklid (Rivnuts at these two locations). There are four total Rivnuts and they are labeled Item #2 on the diagram.

    1970 Challenger 440 Heating Problems

I looked up the 8546 distributor and it definitely says you need an MSD ignition control to use it. There has to be some kind of box somewhere. The Sniper EFI is best matched to a Holley Hyperspark distributor that is locked out for timing and enables the EFI to control your timing. Your Sniper...

QUESTION. Current Location Of The Purple 1971 Hemi GTX 4 Speed Car That I Used To Own?

Posting the VIN, fender tag, etc. may help if anyone is assisting in your search. RS23R1G164831 An MMC Detroit (Dave Wise) report is posted on the Internet as well. This is a highly-documented Hemi GTX.

    Reverse light harness questions

@EW1BH27 's Moparts.com posted picture of a blue 1971 Cuda and its dash reverse light hole location for the 1" grommet. And another 1971 FC7 E-body that is the same. @ColoradoCuda - The hole you found is correct.

    1970 Cuda decklid differences??

I am not certain but it does appear that the two smaller holes (labeled factory holes on the Challenger decklid) are the correct luggage rack holes. It should be obvious which holes line up when you lay the spoiler on the decklid.

    Bolts or studs

Highly recommend using studs. My example below is Indy 440EZ heads with stock valve covers and Moroso blue 93055 gaskets. Just drop them on the studs and install the valve covers.

The dash reverse lamp wiring goes through a grommet. See picture below. It is up and to the right facing the firewall.

    Engine Oil

I have used the blue Moroso gaskets on my 440 stock valve covers for years. No leaks or issues. Highly recommend them.

    Engine Oil

Kenny, The 340 exhaust manifold hardware kit comes with ten (10) conical washers but the factory did not use the conical washers at the center short bolt locations. You can use conical washers at the center locations if you want to spread the load. The six (6) studs are used at all four corners...
