I am restoring my 1970 Challenger convertible which came with the A63 M31 options. When I removed the chrome molding from the top of the doors they were secured by nuts and bolt at the ends and there are 5 fasteners that fit into holes on top of the panel. The fasteners do not appear to be correct and looked "Jury rigged" to hold the molding. Checked with my contacts (Roseville Moparts, Mr. Moparts and others and apparently these particular clips are not reproduced. Does anyone know what are the correct clips and where I can get some (need 10). Or other clips/fasteners that will work. Also need a radio delete plate and the red reflectors (2) that are mounted in the carpet panels at the bottom of the interior doors.
Thanks

Thanks for the tip, I spoke with Jim at Detroit Muscle they do not have the fasteners, he referred me to "RJ&L obsolete auto fasteners" who referred me to another company and none of them have the correct fasteners and not even sure what they were. My body guy is going to modify some fasteners and hopefully it will work to fasten the molding. Thanks again for your help

Andy, one more thought on this without belaboring the point;
This is a vendor that I have used in the past; he has a large number of Mopar clips from different models.
There may be something from another Mopar car model that might work or modified to work
Site has good pics, so you may be able to find something that could work.
Good luck.

Thanks again for a great referral.I have ordered parts from them in the past and they always show up to the MOPAR shows with lots of hard to find items. I spoke with Ed this morning he is going to send me some clips that should work and he has the reflectors for my door panels that I have been searching for. A good morning. I attached some photos of the TXP Challenger in progress

I believe I may have these IF they are like the the cuda belt molding. If you don’t/ haven’t found them yet, I’ll look if need be. If memory serves correctly (cuda) there are studs on the top door edge that the clips fit on and screws on either end.
I just had shoulder surgery and it will be 6 plus weeks before I can access the tubs.
Just let me know.

Andy, here are the correct clips and what was on my car.
The one with the stud and nut go on the moulding ends.

althafastner.com Just looked on the 19th shows they have the clips that go into the holes, clip goes in and center plug pushes the ears out making them tight.
I did not look at those clips, but I believe those are for the body side mouldings. Andy is looking for the top of door mouldings and by the quarter windows. They are called belt mouldings. See my post above.

Ok, it appears to be different than a later cuda with belt mounding
the ends looks the same with a threaded stud and nut though.

Thanks for the help and the info. Ed at the MOPAR shop sent me two different clip options. One set was metal an the other was plastic. They both worked but the plastic worked better. We did have to hone out the holes a little to have them go in easier without damaging the trim. Ed also set me up with some clips off an A body tail panel that worked on the rear tail panel with a little modification. So here are some pictures all the trim is on and put the interior in today. Tanks again for the input I do appreciate it
