I have 283 Chevy in what’s left of the original crate. This is a short block, std bore, factory steel crank, cam, rods, pistons with chain and cover assembled.
It’s never been fired up. It’s new old stock. I just acquired it last week. Had surface rust. I though about tearing it down and reassemble but, it has unique paint marks on various places. So, before I do anything, I want put it out there as is. Pics available if interested.
It’s located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Asking 750.00 plus freight in the U.S.

I put it back in the crate and stored it in may warehouse here at work. I'll go out there and see if I can find a date on it. there's a slick pad next to the "12 GM" which I'm told that's where the vin# would be if it came across the line. But, I'm not that knowledgeable on this GM stuff.

I was thinking someone with an old vette or nova, Chevy II might find this a good deal.
I had a 64 Chevy II in high school. It was supposed to be .80 over, did have the two hump heads, big cam, and Muncie 4 speed. That motor would wind to 8500 with no problem. It was fun and fast. Like a go cart.
