This is a very nice, clean and complete center console for a 71-74 Cuda/Challenger with automatic trans. No drilled holes, no cracks, no cut outs. Very original. Screws that hold top plate look to be replaced. Lock on door keeps door closed but I do not have the key to lock it. Also, at the very rear of the top plate, the woodgrain decal is lifting. See photos.

I have a 1970 'Cuda and wondered what is the difference between your part, which you say fits a 1971-74, and a 1970 'Cuda.

71-later consoles have an ashtray. 70 consoles have a slotted opening at the rear that provides storage for the shoulder belt female ends.

Thank you for answering my question. I would have thought that, with smoking on the decline in the culture, the '70 would have had the ashtray and later models would not. My car has fold down bench seats.
