Anybody know where exactly the stamp #'s can be found on a 1970 727 Torqueflight?

I'm told this is the matching tranny, but I wanted to be sure. Sorry, I'm mostly a 4-speed guy.

Thanks,

Will

Right side of the bell housing just below the lug is a pad with the partial VIN number. Does it match your VIN?

When you say "right side"....do you mean passenger side of the vehicle?

Also...below the lug. Sorry, my tranny is oxidized and I can't seem to locate the stamping.

I know my engine matches....just hoping to confirm the 727 is the same.

Here is a pic. Right side is the passenger side. I have the ID pad circled in black.
