73 hood lip molding

[1973challenger]

So I just got my hood lip molding in the mail today for my car. I’m going to be installing after I get it painted. I just want to be sure I am going about it the correct way.

I screw up through the bottom edge of the molding into the front lip of my hood right? I’m having a hard time finding any pictures on line that have enough detail, so if any 72-74 guys out there can post one or two that would help a lot. Thanks in advance folks!

Yep. Test fit it first, mark the holes, and don’t let the drill bit hit the top of the hood.
