B-body AM radio modified for E-body 72-74 ?

Has anyone ever modified a B-body radio for an E-body? E-body radios seem hard to come by, and I found a radio that I think I can use. Its the same generation 72-74 but a B-body. The face plate from an E-body would need modified to go over the face plate on the radio, and possibly drill and tap holes in the front to add mounting studs?
Anyone think this is a possible solution, I don't really know if I care if the radio functions but at least looks correct...
