Hi everyone I was thinking about making my barracuda into a shaker car. I wanted to use an original hood and have it made into a shaker. not really thinking of putting on a repop since my car is all original metal. Might as well keep it that way and use a desperate hood I find on craigslist for the conversion. I was reading stuff about the underbrace just skimming through it. Would it need to be cut out and changed to a shaker hood underbrace? Also is there a specific guide online on how to do it to see if a local shop can do this for me? Measurements and exact spots and everything? Will the cut out be noticeable or will the trim ring cover up any imperfections? I am not concerned about buying the scoop and all other components at the moment just having the shaker hood made out of my flat hood and I guess the trim ring and under brace to have it complete. Anyone know of someone in the LA area who can do it and how much they'll charge? Or a shop that's done a really good job and an estimate? Would be greatly appreciated in another 20 miles north of Los Angeles but I am willing to travel by car. Let me know thank you.

Contact Rick at www.restorick.com He used to have kits. He may no longer have them. They came with a video disc and parts to convert your flat hood.
