I have a general question about the Prestolite dual point distributor. If you put a IBS-4017 next to a IBS-4018 what are the differences ? one is for the 340 six pack and one is for the 440 six pack. can they be interchanged ? If not why ?

The most obvious difference is that one turns one way in the engine and the other one turns the other way, so the vacuum canisters face different directions.

The shafts are also a different length.
