Where does this go? 70 Barracuda conv

I bought my Barracuda Gran Coupe convertible about a year ago. The car was wrecked at some point in its life. The guy I bought it from had a professional shop replace the quarters and trunk floor. When they put it back together they seemed to have missed this piece and I can’t figure out its exact location. The pictures show where I think it goes on the driver side quarter. Can anyone help? Maybe post a picture of its placement with a tape measure, so I can correctly place it?
