Hi,
It seems there's a difference in the way the rubber bushings are secured between the 70 & 71, but I'm unaware of '71 jack slots. In any case, I may be interested in your bumper. Please send me some photos at petersen2871@gmail.com
Thanks!
George
When you say rubber bushings, are you referring to the bumper fillers at the ends of the bumpers? They are the same for 70 and 71.

Yes those are the ones, my poor choice of terminology. I have seen where the 1970 bumpers used a metal retainer for those fillers, where the '71 bumpers are stamped with "teeth" in the ends which secure the filler pieces. The metal retainers were perhaps for early 70 only? I can't say. Can you send me photos of your bumper?

Here is the filler on my 71 bumper. The bumper has the slots for jacking and has the two notches for the fillers. I do have a 70 bumper that does not have the jacking slots or the notches for the filler but I do not have the fillers installed. Year One, Mega Parts, Classic Industries do not show the part you posted for a 70 but they do have the fillers for both a 70 and 71. So I don't know if that part is needed or not.
