Can anyone send me a voltage limiter part number for a rally dash, i only see non rally dash limiters ( year one or classic industries prefered but ? ) Thanks

I was unaware the standard dash had a limiter. But the parts book suggests it's the same for both dashes.

The original Chrysler part number for the 1970 'Cuda with Rallye dash cluster or with standard dash cluster is 2209216. Part number 2209216 is shown in the following image:

Voltage limiter part number 2209216 was used in the following vehicles:
  • 1970 - 1974 Challenger and Barracuda models
  • 1971 - 1973 Monaco, Polara, Fury
  • 1967 - 1969 Fury
  • 1968 Monaco
  • 1962 - 1963 Full Size
The following table lists aftermarket direct replacements, most of which are obsolete numbers, but might still be found:

The Classic Industries listing for their part number 10804A is incorrect. The listed limiter is for Ford applications, original part numbers, B9MZ10804C, C5VF10804A, also Standard Motor Products VRC604. It mounts the same and can be made to work, but does not have the dual spade terminal connection of the Chrysler part.

The Year One part, L39532, is also a Ford version.

Hilltop Auto Parts lists an NOS 2209216.

Mopar Mall lists a replacement limiter.

National Mo-Parts lists a solid state replacement limiter.

Real Time Engineering has an electronic replacement: IVR3 Limiter.

The
2209216 voltage limiter has a specific screw-on mount and terminals for jumper leads to the cluster. Some places confuse the more common plug-in limiter (Chrysler part numbers 2258413, 3592899) used in many other models as a replacement. The internal part and function is the same, and it can be made to work with some custom work, but is not a direct replacement.

I'd use thr R/T engineering one. Same fit and built not to exceed 5 volts. If an original fails gauges get 12 volts and cook. Don't ask me how I know...

Stay away from the solid state limiter. I provides a slightly higher voltage for the gauges causing higher engine temp and oil pressure as well as higher fuel levels. Ask me how I know.

Thanks ! I was confused because classic industries mentioned the limiter was "except rally dash" ??
