Would anyone mind decoding fender tag?

You're right that the tag shows C56. In Galen Govier's white book it shows "bucket seats" for 1972-1974. Maybe in 1975 or later that code was for reclining seats.

Would anyone mind decoding fender tag?

Excellent response and I appreciate the information. Unfortunately I was old enough to know these cars when they were new, lol! I, like yourself, am not a guru either and I find I learn something new about these cars every day. I'm amazed at the knowledge that you have of these cars, not being...

Would anyone mind decoding fender tag?

Thanks for your response. Wouldn't the jambs still have to be painted, regardless if full door panels are coded? Thanks.

Excellent breakdown, thanks for posting! Galen Govier's white book shows "000" as "full door panel".

Factory installed windshield wiper blades for E bodies

Thanks. I bought an NOS red dot pair yesterday. I'm putting them on the car and taking off the current plastic blade replacements.

Factory installed windshield wiper blades for E bodies

Hi, All. I was wondering if anyone knows what type/brand of windshield wiper blades came new from the factory on E body cars. I've seen that the Anco 16 inch "red dot" blades might have been the correct factory ones. Thanks!

    383 HP engine I.D. ?

No, it's very easy to read and looks factory. But, my car's scheduled build date was 219 and the engine casting date is late August 1969. That's almost six months in between cast date and car build date so I doubt that it's the original engine. Plus there's no stampings on the machined boss by...

    383 HP engine I.D. ?

I have a 1970 Challenger R/T with a 383 engine currently in it. I have two questions. 1. The cast date code is 8-28-69 (1970 model year engine) and there are no stampings on the machined boss by the distributor so is this a warranty replacement block? 2. Do all 383 HP engines have the...
