Getting ready to start 72 Challenger project

I like 72's... already have a finished 72 Cuda, now for the Challenger. Unlike the Cuda, the Challenger started out life as some Grandma's 318 72 Rallye, (Side scoop delete on fender tag, "JS23" Rallye though), in the coveted light gold color (GAG!!!), with gold interior, no console, auto on...

Rally wheels for 73 Dodge Challenger

These are the original 14" rallye wheels I have. I had them powder coated in correct argent color. They have the large original center caps on here, but I also have the smaller 71 style with dark gray centers. I wasn't really trying to sell you mine... just saying I thought the powder coating...

Rally wheels for 73 Dodge Challenger

No 15" wheels were an option for e-bodies after 1971 model year... all came with 14's 72-74. So your 73 came with 14's of some sort. I have newly powder coated 14" E-body rallye wheels that are argent silver, with the correct large center caps and new Goodrich Radial TA's already mounted... I...

    Suggestions for aftermarket steering wheel

People often say 70-74 but it's not true. 70-71 had 2 different styles, that Tuff Wheel thing and a RimBlow design... The 72-74 Challengers and Barracudas, (Cudas), all had the steering wheel like the one in my pic, and nothing before 72 had it. It always annoys me when I read "For 70-74"...

    Suggestions for aftermarket steering wheel

I know 70-71 had a couple different styles, that looks like one of those... but I have no idea if its an original one. I see there are a few complete stock 72-74 steering wheel/horn center cap "ready-to-go" auctions on eBay right now if you want to keep it original. Best wishes!

    interior panels

I first used Palco's and didn't like them at all, switched to Metro and they were so much better. They look more original and actually fit :)

    727 Reverse Issue

When my 72 340 with 727 Cuda is cold I need to put into neutral for a few seconds before shifting into reverse.. otherwise it does just what you describe. Don't know why... but it works fine after it warms up a bit in neutral.
