    Hello from Sunny Southern California

Gate closes at 10am and opens at 1pm to leave (we usually open 15 minutes early). So if you get there at 9:30 you'll be out in a few hours. Just a thought.

Recipe for "Stock Appearing" build for '70 383?

Shame they don't have a kit for 3.915" stoke crank. That would be 450-451 cubic inches with a 1.67 rod angle ratio.

Recipe for "Stock Appearing" build for '70 383?

That a pretty stock looking 383 with dual plane intake and 440 source heads. Could do a 383 based stroker with 496 cubic inch too. Maybe buy the 440 source CNC heads and a cam in the 235 to 240 duration @.050 range. That would be in the 500+ hp range.

Windage Tray on 340 - Use the original or go with new Milodon windage tray with new larger Milodon oil pan? Is there a difference?

I put the headers in at the same time as the motor. But it was in an A-body. So tighter engine compartment than an E-body. And I run a 73-76 Spool type motor mount K-member that even tighter. With this 73-76 K-member in an A-body, the motor can only be put in without the trans connected.

Windage Tray on 340 - Use the original or go with new Milodon windage tray with new larger Milodon oil pan? Is there a difference?

$614 from Mancini The curve of K-member rear lip creates wide pan issues. Really so in A-body 73-76 K-member applications I help test fit it on. As much pan as possible!! : 73-76 A-body K-member

Windage Tray on 340 - Use the original or go with new Milodon windage tray with new larger Milodon oil pan? Is there a difference?

I have an old do it yourself kit from Moroso I think. It would need a lot more mods to fit in our K-member cars.

Windage Tray on 340 - Use the original or go with new Milodon windage tray with new larger Milodon oil pan? Is there a difference?

No. That’s the “Low Pro”. It has the notch in middle to create a higher spillover wall during acceleration. That feature was used in the road race pan too. p/n 31590 for 340 Milodon Road Race Oil Pan

Factory windage tray with Milodon Road race pan

I think the tray doesn’t cover that front portion might be because the pan itself is so close to the crank. Like, there’s no sump in that area to protect windage from. I think milodon explained it to me, but I can’t remember.
