1970 E-body Radio option code R21

should have been R11 or R22
When stamping. The factory workers are not perfect.
I got my first 1973 Challenger for $100 in 1981. It was towed to my house
That will never happen again. You have to love those good old days.
You got lucky then and your lucky now with your E body. The tag is just part of the journey. No matter what it is!

Hi everyone. Another question about my car thats not clear in the available data being a 4sp with A/C, what is the right radiator part number? Is it the 956 or the 961? The original radiator blew up the day I bought the in LA and drove it to Yuma Az in 1990. I was dumb then and threw it away.

By chance if you would remember, who did you buy it from in LA that had 4 other Mopars for sale?

Sounds like someone us locals would know.

Yes it was Thomas Eckert in Hunnington Park. See the bill of sale. I took a king air from Yuma to Long Beach because I was in the flight test program in Yuma and they had king air go back-and-forth several times a day. We all worker for McDonnell Douglas. I had to put a couple of new tires on it and it barely ran and I drove it back to Yuma. The brakes went and I almost got killed. The radiator blew up and I had to buy a new one and install it in the parking lot. I am very lucky I made it back to Yuma alive.

Why back when I first got her I do remember the drums being painted
I didn't think it was red. I painted the exhaust tips inside orange. The only red thought was. Was if it was red was it a burnt red from the heat and age. So just went orange.

It's worth every penny! My 70 Challenger WSS has the Rallye wheels as part of the package and the drums had residual red paint on them. In fact one of the wheels had a red spot where the paint from one of the drums must have dripped.
