Heater Motor not Running - Ground Question

The ground wire goes from the motor to the metal plate on the backside, as shown in the photo So there needs to be a good connection there but after that, you’d need a good connection from the three mounting holes on the firewall to the firewall itself (chassis ground). If the motor worked...

    Numbers matching engine research

The o is actually a zero for 1970 and the b is the build plant.

    New stroker engine burning oil

I could totally be wrong here but that seems like a weak explanation. I would think that a lean condition would be caused by improper jetting rather than a fuel line that’s too small. I have always heard that when properly jetted, the cylinders on the four corners, farthest from the carb tend...

    Vinyl top and headliner

I don’t know that there is an advantage or disadvantage in doing one before the other. If you had an SE, I think there are emblems that go on the C pillar and I’m guessing they have nuts on the inside so maybe in that case, do the vinyl top first.

    Vinyl top and headliner

Isn’t that what I said? The headliner does not need glass out but it is much easier.

    Vinyl top and headliner

I did my headliner first and had no problems. The front and rear glass needs to be out for the vinyl top and it is so much easier to do a headliner with the glass out too.

    Needing Cam recommendations

I used a hydraulic Isky 270 mega in a 440 years back and it was an absolute stump puller with 3.23 gears. As I recalled, we were able to use the factory stamped rocker set since this cam doesn’t have a ton of lift on a smaller base circle Like a bigger cam would. Granted it’s not as sexy as...

    1970 Challenger 340 exhaust manifolds

I recently went through this. Bought a set online only to have my money refunded weeks later being told they were no longer being made. If Herbs has any in stock, I’d grab them. I found an okay set for 600 plus shipping. As a side note, I put them in my 71 Barracuda with the accurate system...

    70 Challenger Gages

I don’t have any reference pics but it can’t be that bad. I’ve seen people do what you’re talking about and create an oem looking oil pressure gauge.

    70 Challenger Gages

There are companies that make custom gauges for these standard dashes. Here’s a couple referenc pics. Some swap the Ammeter for a volt gauge which I like. The tach is nice too when installed by the Speedo and pushing the others over. And of course an oil pressure gauge would be nice.

    New stroker engine burning oil

I just dropped off a set of heads for rebuilding and the guy told me six months minimum. He claims he is overloaded and can’t find decent help anywhere. Same story everywhere anymore. I’ve been hearing that from guys in other parts of the country too. I’d try and tackle this yourself if you can.

    1970 318 Cylinder Heads

It should have smaller intake runner ports but I’m not sure on exhaust ports.
