The chrome pieces or the rubber pieces? If you have pitted and cracked rubber, they can be sprayed with high build primer, sanded and sprayed with SEM Trim Black.
It's centered above the side marker. I think I have mine placed a little too far down. It would probably be more correct if it was placed an inch higher.
Yes, that is correct. In 72-74 there is a Challenger emblem in the grill and on each quarter panel. Then the hood and tail panel say D O D G E. I believe 72 is the last year for the corporate logo on the bottom of the PS front fender. 73 and 74 didn't get one.
If the 340 was ordered, you automatically got a lot of the Rallye parts. I believe you got the scooped hood and HD suspension with rear sway bar. The gauges would have been an extra cost option. Also, your tail panel would have been painted the same as a base Challenger.(argent tail panel...
I don't think it's worth $300. Prices on those hood have come way down since AMD started making them. I saw one at the Nats this past summer for $25. It needed a little work but looked decent. It was still there when I left late on Saturday. If it's a 70 hood without the crumple ribs, then...
Look up Fred Gilmore. He has the best prices that I found. I got a green top about 14 months ago for $219 shipped. I've seen the same battery for over $300 + shipping from other companies.
I've seen some variation on the height of the emblem. I've never seen a factory diagram that gives a dimension. I do know that the emblem should be centered above the side marker. As far as the height...move the emblem around and see where you think it looks best. New emblems are available...
I bought one for my new Dart project. I too painted the bracket black. The nice thing is that I have less money in this setup then having the original speaker re-coned.(and it will sound better too)
Those valves are only used on A/C cars. We don't know what he has yet though. If it's an A/C car then that's a good place to look.
Has your heater box been rebuilt? If not, all the foam pieces on the doors have deteriorated...probably not even there any more. That will let hot air past...
That picture is correct for a NON A/C car. There is supposed to be an open area between the heater box and the duct. It looks like something is supposed to be there but there isn't.
