I taped the outside with painters tape and glued from the inside with super glue gel, and when you pull the tape from the outside it has a smooth level finish.
I think so, it will still have reverse lights, just not white. The license plate is reflective, hopefully the will be good enough for reflector. For safety I could put the old ones back in, only take a couple of mins.
I ask the question last week about modifying the reverse lights on my 73, never did like the look. One member said that he cut his in half with a bandsaw. So I figured I would give it a try. I don't have a bandsaw so I used a cutoff wheel on my dremel tool. So you have to cut four taillights in...
I really don't care for the reverse light lens on my 73, my plan is to modify the two extra brake/park light lenses i have to fit. I know they are different sizes, anyone do this mod before?

Thanks for the info. The Dakota gauges are backlit. Is the switch panel lite by the light bar? Do I need at least one bulb on the left side to light up the switch panel? Sorry for all the questions, I am brand new to the challenger world and I bought the car in pieces.
