It’s totally screwed everything is rusted. Dash frame, drivers door, k member, inner roof structure and a few misc pieces are all that’s salvageable

Not sure what I was thinking dragging this home, everything is rusty or missing fender tag and vin gone too. Might strip the few good parts left and make a dirt track car or something lol

Yeah I agree. Turn up the gas or maybe you are pulling the gun away too fast on the tack welds so the shielding gas can’t do it’s job. Either way I’d test on scrap pieces before it touched the car if the welds were coming out like that.

Well I got lucky and found a very nice refurbished setup, it’s missing the return spring as it was used with a hydraulic clutch previously. $100 US plus shipping, so all said and done it cost me $220 Canadian.

I’m hoping I can find a good used setup at a fair price that I can restore. Although I might break down and just buy the reproduction coversion kit. I’m not going to pay the crazy price some guys are asking for ones that you still have to restore
