I think it's a 1/2 fine thread. I had to clean up the threads on the shaft and the nut.

I have a piece of thick rubber gasket material. I'll give it a try. Thanks

On my 70 Baracuda,I pulled my dash to have it redone and to look for water leaks on the firewall, that I couldn't find from the outside. I noticed a big gap between the defroster vent and the heater vents. Is this normal? If I recall correctly, my defroster did work. Thanks

I found a couple of problems. Two jumper wires I used to ground the turn signal were bad. The other problem I found, there was a bad ground wire near the connector. I had previously checked to see if the wire was grounded, using a multimeter. Thanks for your help.

When I turn on the headlights on, the left turn signal indicator on the dash goes on. If I put the indicator in the left hand turn position, the indicator light goes off but the left turn signal doesn't work on the left The right side is fine. If the headlights are off, both turn signals work...

I need to replace my trunk lid on my 70 Barracuda. Has anyone used Auto Metal Direct, Sherman, Goodmark, or OER? Any pros or cons on these companies? Thanks
