Best Motor Mounts for Stroker 340

Sorry so late in answering but life got pretty busy over the last month. Anyways, the engine is a 340 with Stroker Kit, machined to a 411, and is pushing over 500 HP.

Best Motor Mounts for Stroker 340

Hey All: I am ready to drop my newly rebuilt stroker 340 into my 1973 Cuda and need some advice on the best type of motor mounts. I mainly plan on driving around on the weekends and to car shows but of course may have fun with the engine on occasions, too. I will take all advice on which type...

?Upgrade OE pulley/belt assembly to serpentine system?

Because that is the way I bought the vehicle in 1977 and I want it to look like I bought it as much as possible.

    1973 Cuda Restoration

Nope no money wanted, but I just can't believe the ridiculous prices of some of the parts, especially OE or NOS. Talk about highway robbery and then they add on unbelievable shipping charges!!! :drama:  Happy Forth of July to ALL! :usflag:

    1973 'Cuda Rsto Project

Actually that is the original VIN color match with just a touch of pearl added. It still has to be clear coated which will make it shine more, of course.

    1973 'Cuda Rsto Project

It's funny to see the size of an Original Equipment Vinyl Top compared to today's sizing of tops, rugs, seat covers, etc. The vinyl guy was delighted as he had some much material to work with for stretching tight, where as he said typically he only has a few inches to stretch and make tight.

    1973 'Cuda Rsto Project

    1973 'Cuda Rsto Project

Thanks. Here is a pic of the engine bay small rust areas repaired and all painted. The window channels have been repaired and painted. The OE vinyl top is getting installed and next will be all window gaskets, whiskers, rubber etc., along with the glass, too.

    1973 'Cuda Rsto Project

Here are a few pics of my project. The engine, transmission, and clutch assembly are done! The engine is now a 411cu in with a Stroker Kit, new pistons, oversize cam, roller rockers, etc.. But as far as looks go it is still an unassuming Rochester Thermo Carb 340 cu in but is painted MOPAR...

?Upgrade OE pulley/belt assembly to serpentine system?

Thanks for all the info. After deep thought (and looking into my empty wallet) I am going to keep the original look and AC along with the V Belts for now. I figure, get the car running safely and reliable, body fixed, and then can always go back and add/change things. BTW: pics are posted in the...

    1973 Cuda Restoration

Hey All, Of course I am new to the forum, thus the reason for the intro and write up. I bought my 1973 'Cuda 340 back in 1977, am only the second owner, and YUP, I kept it ALL these years! It is all original (of course batteries, tires, that kinda stuff are not) numbers matching, has less...

?Upgrade OE pulley/belt assembly to serpentine system?

I like the OE look also versus all the bling of a serpentine system. I see you changed out your radiator but kept your power steering. I am having my original radiator rebuilt with a max-cooling core versus the stock 3 row core in order to keep the original look. I am considering upgrading the K...

?Upgrade OE pulley/belt assembly to serpentine system?

Hey all, I am looking for some advice/recommendations on whether to upgrade from OE pulleys/belts to serpentine belts and pulleys. I have a '73 Cuda 340 which has been upgraded to a 411 Stroker and I am going to keep the factory A/C. The engine is running smoothly with the OE pulleys/belts but...
