I have the original 318 in my Barracuda. I built the original engine like this ... 318 Small Block Build - How To - Hot Rod Magazine
I went a little extra.. I went with a retro roller cam and Speedmaster aluminum heads (they are 40 percent off for their black friday sale). To make up the...
I found a pic online of a 74 Challenger with white kick panels. From what I am reading, the kick panels match the color of the carpet. Since no white carpet, no white kick panels... from the factory. I kind of like the white kick panels though.
My panels are black already. I did see a car with a white interior and they had white kick panels. That is why I thought they were supposed to be white as well.
I was going to paint the kick panels and the rear side panels as well. I wonder if I need 4 cans? Is this paint available in a bigger container that I can use a spray gun myself?
How many coats are needed and how long will a can last? Can I get by with cans? I am thinking of getting new front door panels but will paint the rest.
OK, thanks. I was curious if the back part had any clearance issues. I would get all the old paint off of them and then coat them with some thermal paint. Eastwood has it and they also have a coating for the inside.
RRBBKK - those in the pic are from a stock 92-93 Ram/ Dakota? I thought that had more of a log style manifold. Do you have a picture of them in your car?
The ones in your pic look like the ones in my second link. I like those more than the block huggers.
What about shorty headers? My car will be mainly for street, hopped up 318, so I wanted something that will give best ground clearance and not restrict power like manifolds. I was looking at block hugger shorties, like from Speedmaster. Price is cheap. Anyone run these? Here is a link...
I am thinking of replacing my fuel tank in my 71 barracuda. It has 4 vent tubes on right side. I see a holley tank but it looks like there is only 1 vent tube on right side but says it is a stock replacement tank. I called their tech support but he couldn't answer why there was only 1 vent...
Hey MoparCarGuy, I don't recall having those small retainer rings on my pins? Though I didn't look when I took off the old one. I wonder if the new emblems come with those retainers.
