    70 Challenger Restomod begins

WOW! Sorry to hear about your baby. At least no one was hurt. On another note, now you can check the neutral safety switch and wiring so that this does not happen again.

    Too Tight Steering

I was thinking about the tight steering and maybe the idler arm bolt is to tight and is squeezing the bushing against the mount. As if the sleeve in the bushing is too short to stop this from happening.

    Black Paint for interior

I have never seen white kick panels. If anyone has a/some pictures I would like to see how it looks. My car came with black.

    Too Tight Steering

I rebuilt my front end also and have no steering tightness. When I brought it in for the alignment, I was told that I have play in the steering due to the steering box being worn. The alignment is good but could be better if not for that. In order to get the play out of the steering box, I...

    Door Adjustment

I had the same problem with my car. I had purchased brand new door weatherstrip in the 90's from AM SoffSeal. After hours of adjusting the striker and upper and lower hinges I found that the new door weatherstrip was too firm and did not allow the door to close properly. I luckily saved my...

73 barracuda truck extension missing curiosity.

If I remember correctly, they were plug welded to the trunk floor, outer wheelhouse, tail panel and quarters. Where the qtr extension meets the bottom of the quarter panel was plug welded too. Seam sealer is used in the trunk to seal the panels abutting the extensions.

    Key release

I have some pictures of my 73 barracuda steering column disassembly I can post. I don't see a wavy washer in my pictures. Can you post a picture? Is a 73 Challenger column different?

73 barracuda rear upper shock ?

From what I had and have on my 73, that is something you don't need. Keep it as a memento....

    Black Paint for interior

I don't remember if they sell paint in anything larger. The website should answer that question I would think. If you're going to paint the qtr interior panels too I would get one can per side. Herb's Parts: HERBS PARTS INTERIOR PAINT, Interior Paint, PAINT The kick panels are black so you can...

    HB1 Barracuda build

Thanks. When I was looking into placement of the emblems I looked up 73's and most were on the left of the license plate. The exact spot on the left was different on all of the images that I saw.

    Biggest Tires???????

I have 255/60R15 in the rear and 245/60R15 in the front both on 15x7's. I tried the 255's on the front but the clearance to the fenders was to close for my liking. I believe 6PKRTSE has larger tires on his cars without any problems. I'm sure he'll chime in with his sizes. He helped me when I was...

    Black Paint for interior

I used Herb's for the interior white paint and used 2 cans to paint my older white moldings. I had no paint left after the second can so if I were you, I would buy three cans. Herb's paint matched perfectly. I bought my door panels, qtr panels and A-pillar moldings from Vansauto on E-bay and...
