73 340 4 speed- getting her back on the road!

I agree. I have been a member for some time and it's only because I have seen such a good group/atmosphere that i decided to share my progress/seek advice etc. A rare thing these days to find a group with the keyboard warriors and silly stuff!

Much appreciated!!! Thank you! Got a rebuild kit ordered its a mess in there! I don't want to pull the engine so much cut an access hole in the panel holding it so that I can get at refurbishing the z bar then weld it all back in!

After that it's into the job I have been avoiding. Rear frame rails. I have AMD replacements for both but I'm trying to avoid removing the rear trunk sheet metal.. I'm thinking if I drill the spot welds out from the top, then cut the frame rails where then need replacing... I might get away with it!

73 340 4 speed- getting her back on the road!

While the doors were off I decided to put new handles in- the previous owner only left one linkage in there so now I'm on a mission to find/recreate the linkage! Lucky there are some pretty good photos in previous posts on here!

73 340 4 speed- getting her back on the road!

Just beginning my resto of a 340 4 speed, 1973 challenger. Original paint code being metallic gold, which it will be great to bring back to! Alot of rust but nothing an angle grinder can't manage! I actually bought the car sight unseen, then drove it with my dad across Australia (3600kms) to...

    383 Six pack- carb choices

These are my two choices narrowed down- to be honest last time I messed with a Holley sniper it was ‘ok’ but never felt trustworthy!

    383 Six pack- carb choices

Thanks! All makes sense! Do you have any reccomendations for FI systems out there? I don’t want to start a debate on the pros and cons of FI but I feel like there are limited options for six pack EFI outside of the Fitech system… but I am happy to be corrected 😎

    383 Six pack- carb choices

Hi all! Had a hunt around but couldn’t specifically find what I was looking for. I recently acquired a nice Edelbrock six pack intake manifold for my 383. I’m heading to the US soon and am likely to be throwing down some serious $$$$ on a new set of carbs to fit. 1. I am looking at Holley...

oh and don’t get me wrong, we can ‘get’ repro panels here- it’s just at such a price that the tendency would be to patch and/or use a donor- unless they are smaller panels which are cheaper to ship!

rusty challenger unites with a crashed one

thanks for the advice- personally I do hope the wrecked car is salvageable, it’s front end (suspension etc) is all in great shape and that would save me a huge amount of work! I guess my first point of attention will need to see how much out of spec everything else is, because one concern is...
