Probably not the answer you want to hear but there's really just one fix... It's why during the build you fit everything before body and paint...

Is there an advantage to 11" vs 10" rear drum brakes besides the size difference? This is for a '71 Cuda build, street car. On my 8 3/4 rear end, I have stock back plates but no drums, how can I tell if they are for 10" or 11" drums? I measured the diameter of the back plates to be 11"...
