A66 Challenger Registry

I know it’s not an A66 but I also knew that you’d be interested.
Absolutely Thanks:thumbsup:
Accurate production specs for 1971 Challenger convertibles seem hard to find? GG lists hardtops and convertibles together in the white book. With another source, here is what I found;
1971 Challenger convertible numbers guestimated

Short answer, it doesn't exist.

Long answer longer...

1793 V8 71 Challenger Convertibles produced for US sales...

167 383 4bbl, 41 4spd, 126 automatic can be found in a few sources online...

318 and 340 production, not so much...

The numbers below were shared on E-Bodies.org by another member.

Seem credible but would take them with a grain or maybe a bottle of salt... not gospel but the numbers do add up.

167 383 4bbl, 41 4spd, 126 auto

1323 318-2bbl, 93 3spd, 1230 auto

176 340-4bbl, 5 3spd, 45 4spd, 126 auto

127 383-2bbl, auto trans only

RT Convertible was no more in 71, gone with the RT Convertible option were the RT optional Hemi, 440-4 and 440-6 engines...

There are no documented 1971 Hemi, 440-4 or 440-6 Challenger convertibles... At least no documentation I've ever seen or heard of...

Enjoy!
How is your 71 383 vert doing?

Owner asking $45 k Great price for car in this condition!

Seller's description

AD READS;
1970 Dodge Challenger Factory A66 Spring Special 340 car. NO fender tag 340/727 New Legendary interior Just about everything on this car is new or rebuilt. I bought it wanting to repaint it white and make a Vanishing Point car out of it but I haven't had a chance to do anything with it since I bought it. I have too many projects and decided to list several of them. Whatever sells first goes and whatever is left I'll keep and play with. TRADES considered

From the A66 Archives; An early A66 Challenger convertible with low miles and original paint.
An original survivor car that could act as a benchmark for a factory-correct original restoration! The car was purchased from the original owner by a “flipper” in Arizona who was lucky enough to buy the car for about $49k with 33,551 miles on the odometer. The car is pretty much an untouched, matching numbers survivor car with a build date of 925, one of the earliest A66 builds in the Registry. It retains the original 340 hood decals and has the original 15x7 rallye wheels. The car came with a David Wise Report to document prominence. It is a Y1-black interior, black bumble, automatic trans, power top, and rim blow wheel car. The original fender data plate, build sheet and door sticker are all intact!

Streetside Classics Dealership had the car for sale at one point for $69,995. The car was later sold at Mecum Kissimmee in January, 2023; (JH27 H0B 133709) with slightly higher mileage of only 33,974 and sale price of $ 126.5K
I had personally spoke to the dealer. flipper before he sold the car out of Arizona! A really great reference car for seeking restoration specifics! Enjoy!
