Has anyone found something to remove under coating from the painted surface? I am trying to remove it from the engine compartment
under the hood and the only thing that seem to work best is WD-40. I know carb cleaner does but removes the paint also. If anyone knows
of a product please let me...
The engine has it mixed in the intake also. I will pull and clean and check mains too.
The Cam looks good from what I can see with the intake removed. I ran into a problem trying to use a HF 1 Ton lift.
it wouldn't reach far enough into to pull it up and out. I ended up buying a leveler that was...
Since I am pulling the engine because of a blown head gasket (I hope from over heating ) I am thinking of replacing the intake manifold on my 1973 Cuda 340
4 speed with a Torker 340. Anyone here installed one? what did you think of it. thanks.
I have a 1973 Cuda 340 4 speed, Yes the engine did over heat into the red line 2 times ( First time I thought it was just low on coolant, I was worried about head gaskets so I did check oil at a gas station to add more coolant the oil looked good. The second time was about one mile from that...
Checked my oil and it looks like chocolate mike dang! I need to pull the engine to do other work but wanted to ask
you guys, if I should remove exhaust manifolds or just unbolt from exhaust and pull it with them on? Looks like it will clear lifting the engine up and out.
I plan to replace heads...
Thanks for all the information. I am thinking dash pad I'll just have to save up. It makes me think maybe I should should start
a Dash Pad making company here in Minnesota. I would think I could make it for less than $1,500.00. Starting with E-Bodies-Only cars.
Can anyone tell me difference between Dash pad and a dash cover? I am looking at replacing the dash pad on my 73 Cuda
but don't want the clue on kind. Looking for the screw attached kind has with metal backing does name identify that?
I think it's the water pump because the lower hose is not even warm. I am replacing all the hoses and rebuilding the heater core box. Replacing the heater core because it was leaking that was bypassed. The problem is looking for an OEM heater core fan motor, I found one on "Parts Geek" but the...
I am looking at replacing the heater core on my 73 Cuda not AC. In reading other posts about it is seems like 3 fan motor bolts 2 vent door
connections and Fan Motor. Has anyone else replace one without AC? it that all there is? Also do you think replacing the air box parts are necessary if you...
Sorry for the long pause! I will be starting up again now that winter is here again. I'll post the new progress on the panel.
I'll have to take it a part again. Had fun driving it around this summer!
After I re-cleaned the contacts (the inside contacts of the wires that contact to the motor) the wiper motor worked.
Thank you all for the suggestions.
Yes I did check the linage. I moved it by hand to make sure it was not stuck. It a new motor but I will scuff both ends who knows?
thanks for the feed back.
I had read some information on wiper motors and looks like my old one was dead. I checked the terminals from the battery shown on some posts.
also noted if not grounded it will not work if issues were found there. I did ground from the battery to the ground strap on the wiper motor but still...
