The plastic control panel on dash is different. Duct under dash is the same.

Agreed, that's where I'd start. Measure voltage to coil/ballast resistor while trying the key. Disconnect connector on column and you can do it yourself. Ignore stuff at bottom, that's for a 3G swap.

I put a dash cap on 20yrs ago and it looked great. Got a wild hair and bought a redone dash for $800, 10yrs ago. Dash cap was nicer, no comparison. I'm seeing dashes are now $2k, no way I'd pay that.

But, if it's just a cruiser, why bother? I agree, most cars only get 50-100 miles a year, going to cruise night. Sway bar isn't going to do anything.

Easy, tape a couple of Walmart bags around it, and go to town.

Check the install instructions on that kit. They require drilling the control arm. I'd rather copy what Surfcuda did, Addco kit is just an L bracket.

Why not hit that tab with an angle grinder.

Same happened to me. It's a common misconception that the speedometer is gear driven. It's actually magnetically coupled, so when the bushing wears out, you get the jumpy needle. Had the worst vendor experience ever, paid idiot to go through the whole cluster, he just glued on a new needle, and...

You notice any rotation of that bracket, lot of force there? Maybe a longer back tab and 2 smaller bolts would eliminate that possibility?

You need to check whether your control arms have the tabs for the sway bar on them.
