Mine had the Mylar “plastic” in between fastened with the weatherstripping type of adhesive. It looked undisturbed when I took the door panels off. It’s a 74 and not sure if it changed from year to year.
Original 14” rims that came off my 74 Cuda. Rims are in great condition. Tires are in excellent condition. The trim rings I don’t believe are original and are in fair condition. No center caps. Very light red overspray mostly on tires that will come off with little effort.
$400 and pick up only.
I'm running a crate motor which is a stroked out 360. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful answering the other question about the dipstick. The Kevco oil pan seems to be very close to original on the height but like you said the shape is much more square. The crate motor literally bolted right up...
Can someone please suggest a good choice on replacement U-joints for both the rear and transmission ends. I'm running a 408 with beefed up stock/matching 904 trans and 8.75 rear. Are they both the 2-5/8" 7290 series?
It would be awesome to see it go back to the original color combination including interior style since so few cars were pink. The current drivetrain combination seems great for that car but its obviously up to the individual to be happy.
The silicone gasket would probably work the best. They are a little thicker and may help even with a slightly bent pan. Plus most of the time you can reuse them when changing the fluid and filter.
I prefer to use the rubber ones w/o the sealer. They can be pulled off at any time and go back on with minimal tightening for a good seal. Make sure your valve covers are straight especially around the bolt holes if they are steel.
