Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice Gran Coupe! What are your plans? Keeping the 318 (they can be made to run!) or switching to something bigger cubic inch wide? I think a Gran Coupe with all the badging along with a shacker hood and Cuda fenders is pretty cool! A Cuda Gran Coupe was never...
Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Congrats on the 70 Hemi purchase. Realize a lot of Hemi cars got raced hard or were protected in what I call a "glass bubble"! So the original may have been blown up. Since there weren't a lot of Hemi engines built, a set of heads and intake built between August...
@bigtreeicons808 Personal Message @Cuda Hunter . I believe he might be able to help you and now one else will know. Well, maybe the guys who run the site, but if we can't trust them, why are we here? 😁
I'd go ahead and take out the motor and regulator. Check other components and make sure everything is in good condition. Rebuild your current motor if you can. Any new one will be a piece of junk. Lube everything well when reassembling. And apply some kind of sound deadener with the plastic...
@Challenger RTA I'm really missing this button! 😂
@Joeychgo and @toolmanmike is it hard/expensive to add it back? I know FEBO is smaller than the other three sites!
@Roadwelder519 , I'm guessing it was originally a BH23G Barracuda that he made into a Cuda clone. Realize they made more 318 automatic E-Bodies than any other combo. If I'm wrong, with both learn something new. If I'm right, you learn something new! I call that a win win! 🙂
E-Body V8s are all basically the same motor mount as far as I'm aware of. It's just the brackets between the motor mounts and block that's different. That's why it's so easy to put a big block in a 72-74 E-Body. 😁
If you go with the Borgeson box, get it and the great adapters from Peter at Bergman Auto Craft. It makes it a direct bolt in for your steering column.

Before spending to cash, call the business you're going to buy the Moog lower ball joints and make sure they are made in USA. There are Chinese ones out there unfortunately.
When I've had to replace a small block timing cover, I always had to tighten the pan bolts first to crush the section of cork gasket so I could get the holes in the front of the block to line up. So I guess I did it right out of necessity. 🙂
