correct valve cover bolts 383 cuda

383/400/413/426w/440 from 64 to 78. 59-63 the big block heads had only 4 bolts and no studs. @DetMatt1 you are technically correct. What we call head bolts are actually screws, but it just doesn't sound right calling them head screws after folks calling the head bolts for over 125 years! 🙂

    73 Soft Pedal Learning Process

Every old Mopar I've driven with power brakes seem to have low brake pedals. So you're probably OK with everything now. When the self adjusters are working properly, it's difficult to remove the rear drums without manually loosening the star wheel. It's kinda of a pain. You have to hold the...

    AAR resto

I remember as a kid helping my Dad work on various Mopars he owned. Occasionally he would crawl underneath to work on something and I'd wait by the car and him for when he needed a different tool. More than once I'd eventually hear snoring. Dad worked hard and probably just need a break from...

    Door Lock Lubrication

White lithium grease is pretty dang good for the price. You really want something better and not concerned about cost? Try Krytox 240AC, but it is not cheap ($470 a tube!)! But it's aerospace (NASA) type grease. I've used it on interior doors parts for years...

    Door Lock Linkage Falls Off

So just pop the rod out, move the clip to the outer hole and pop the rod back in and you should be good to go! 🙂

    Door Lock Linkage Falls Off

OK. I took a picture of my 71 Barracuda and also a picture of a similar type clip.

    Another fender tag validity question

Looks like a repo fender tag to me also. Missing some important elements. As far as the 340/383 question, I suppose a 340 engine with B0168890 stamped on it and matching the VIN and title would be worth more than the non-matching 383. Performance wise the 340 and 383 are close enough I wouldn't...

    Door Lock Linkage Falls Off

The clip looks something like this. There are "lefts" and "rights" depending on application.

Anyone tell me value of parts?

I wouldn't try to rob you! Was just letting you know the parts are worth more than you might think! Another thing, I wouldn't resale them but use them myself! When I check out, my son is going to have to sort through my horde of parts! 🤪

    Hello from California

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice Gran Coupe! What are your plans? Keeping the 318 (they can be made to run!) or switching to something bigger cubic inch wide? I think a Gran Coupe with all the badging along with a shacker hood and Cuda fenders is pretty cool! A Cuda Gran Coupe was never...

Exhaust leak or bad lifter etc , pics explain

Here's hoping the Remflex gaskets work out better! Much cheaper and less pain replacing exhaust gaskets than a camshaft and lifters!

Hey fellow Mopar fans this is my first post. I recently purchased a 1970 Hemi Challenger RT.

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Congrats on the 70 Hemi purchase. Realize a lot of Hemi cars got raced hard or were protected in what I call a "glass bubble"! So the original may have been blown up. Since there weren't a lot of Hemi engines built, a set of heads and intake built between August...

    Decode fender tag

@DustyDave didn't join until 2023. So maybe he was searching archives. All is good! Adding to old threads can be good! 🙂

Salem Oregonians, I need your help. Looking for info on this 71 Cuda I purchased.

@bigtreeicons808 Personal Message @Cuda Hunter . I believe he might be able to help you and now one else will know. Well, maybe the guys who run the site, but if we can't trust them, why are we here? 😁
