Does your car have the original ammeter? If so, was there an issue? I have heard the ammeters cannot take the higher output alternators, so I have never upgraded my alternator. I would love to do that, but never have taken the chance.
Yes. When I first got mine painted and looking reasonable years ago, I was afraid to drive it. But then I asked, “Why do I have it?” You have to drive it. 👍
The car looks great! 👍
I never liked the go wing, even when these cars were new. To me it looks like someone stuck an aftermarket piece on it. But I always loved the T/A and AAR spoilers and why I put one on my ‘Cuda even though it doesn’t belong there. That being said, notice what they put on...
@6PKRTSE - On your red Challenger, do the 295 tires fit up inside of the wheel wells or does something in the suspension keep them from going into the wheel well so that they don't rub? I think on the driver's side of my 'Cuda I could have fit a 295, but I had to modify the passenger side to...
I have 235 in the front and 275 in the rear. There were no issues with any of the tires except the rear passenger side. That side had to be rolled so hard that it warped the quarter panel slightly. I wanted to repaint it anyway since it was starting to have a few bubbles on the roof (previously...
I attached them in the original mounting locations, but put the box under the carpet the same as the original retraction location so the retraction box is hidden. To do this you can't use a box that has to be level. You have to use one that whether it is level or not does not matter. I used this...
I had a bit of an altercation with a giant concrete flower 🌺 pot while backing up, so here we go again. But I can’t complain. It was last painted in 1998, so it’s a miracle it went this long without incident. And there is some very slight bubbling on the roof. That is the other miracle because...
I've had the same issue for more than four decades, but you inspired me to look. What about this one?

I had 3.91 open diff and all it did was spin one tire. It was horrible. You had to come off the line so gentle for it to not spin that it lost too much time. I know you said you don’t mind the revs, but I always felt like I needed to shift it one more time. It drove me nuts. I switched to 3.54...
Has anyone used 50 series other than Nittos? I’d like a 50, but not a Nitto. I saw Hoosier has 275/50 DOT slicks that look amazing, but they look a little scary for the street. Has anyone tried those?
I am playing with this now on my 1970 ‘Cuda. Presently I have 235/60-15 all the way around, the one with the raised white letters, and I test fitted a 275/60-15 on a 15X8 Dodge wheel. They fit fine. I ordered the Year One 15X8 wheels for the back. They should be here on Tuesday. I’ll let you...
I carry them around with me too, but I also carried them around 40 years ago when my 'Cuda was a daily driver. They always went bad, especially the module. The first time it went bad I was more than 100 miles from home and thank god I still had the old distributor with points in the trunk! I...
