    Aluminum Radiator

Yup, cause they are effective. Back in my short track oval car racing days, tried a variety of fan combinations. Most effective was a large, fixed blade fan with a clutch. Anything else would eventually creep up the temp and boil over.

    Legal Fender Tag

Nice! As was the Whattaburger order #68.

Road Course Track Day Ended with Bad Engine Knock :-(

That doesn't look so bad that a .010 cut wouldn't clean it up. But verify with your favorite machine shop. He stated at the end of the picture reply that it was not a baffled sup pan.

    Riser block rear suspension???

You're right. In my fat finger typing mode, I got em backwards.

    Riser block rear suspension???

The SS springs you took off have a bias built in to them to allow the car to launch straight at the drag strip. This bias tend to make the drivers side of the car sit higher. Mismatching the bolt holes for the spring mounting is one way to compensate for this appearance. Adjusting the opposite...

    Riser block rear suspension???

Glad to hear you have a plan of attack. The QA1 shock will certainly help with improving ride quality. Interesting to hear that you have SS springs. It appears these have been modified as the picture posted did not look like them. The 2" shorter segment is a dead give-away that's what they are...

    Small Block Mopar Headers

Those are the standard low end small block headers for all Dodge and Plymouth cars. This exact configuration has been made by Headman, Hooker, Mr Gasket, Blackjack, Cyclone, etc, so on and so forth. They are a decent budget header. At $140 for coated units, this isn't a bad price. As others...

    WTB '70 - '74 E-Body Disc Brake Spindles

Don't they make a kit for drum spindles as well? Might be easier to pick those up than disc spindles.

1973 Dodge Challenger steering column with shifter on column

Is there demand, not much. Is there value, yes. The value may be more in the parts than the whole, so I certainly wouldn't toss it. I have seen an auto on the column with bucket seats in several cars, including mine. All of the ones I've seen like this were 73 and 74 models. To MoparLeo's...

    Riser block rear suspension???

When the axle is under the springs, that is a riser block because it will lift the vehicle. When the axle is over the springs, as in our cars, it is a lowering block. This black has nothing to do with ride quality unless it lowers the car so far the axle tubes are hitting the bump stops. At...

    Front Sway Bar...?

Ahh, yes it does. Their B body bars are wider and bolt on at the lower shock mount. I suppose you could use one of those on an E body. Cruise night judges will criticize you harshly for doing so because it won't be going through the K frame as they mount in front of it. In my use on a B body...

    Front Sway Bar...?

I've seen this most often on Addco bars - Dodge Challenger 1970-74 Front - Addco It is simply a thick, about .25", angle bracket with two holes in it. You can see them in the picture at the above link. They are sitting next to the bracket that holds the bushing. My last B body project used this...

    Front Sway Bar...?

Welding the mounting brackets to the control arm is the best method, but not a requirement for use. Some after market bars will have kits for cars with or without existing mounts. Kits for cars without mounts will include a bolt on bracket that attaches with the lower shock bolt. These are very...

Has anyone modified the reverse light lenses on a 72-74?

The newer Challengers are actually narrower than the old ones. Taller too.

    16" or 17" Rally Wheels

...and 18 have more tire choice than 17, and 16s are getting harder and harder to find and 15 selection sucks. Its a bit of a wild goose chase as tire manufactures continue to evolve the performance tire genre. IMO, stay with 15s, get a nice cosmetic performance tire, driver it regularly and...

    Do I have a 340 Rallye Challenger??

That does look like a factory rear sway bar. I'd double check your measurements on it. Those are supposed to be 3/4" thick. I also see a four leaf spring pack. I couldn't imagine the Rallye package came with 318 springs under it.

    Torsion bar delete

Would have been nice to see the illustration with that tech memo. I recall reading an article on a 1st gen Mustang were stich welding the various sheet metal seams throughout the car resulted in a 35% increase in torsional rigidity. That's a pretty serios gain with minimal additional weight in...

    Do I have a 340 Rallye Challenger??

The collection of parts that this car is doesn't really mean anything in regards to rear end ratios. It has, IMO, been cobbled together to be a roller with whatever parts the seller, or previous sellers, had lying around. The various parts that do have VINs that don't align with the stamped...

    Torsion bar delete

If you race your car in an environment where you need rapid springs changes, need to perform changes for track conditions, or have a need to dial in those spring rates within 50-100# of perfect, then a coil over system can be a benefit. It also will reduce weight in the front of the car and may...

How much can I get out of a 318.

Don't overlook the chassis and safety requirements for running 10s. Per NHRA 10.99 seconds (6.99 1/8th) or Super Street SFI 4.1 Transmission Shield, or at 135 mph Locking transmission dipstick tube Aftermarket axles and axle retainers SFI Harmonic Balancer Roll Cage with altered floor...
