I shot the grille, the area around the rear tail lights, and area in between the rear tail lights with this paint. A very mild texture pretty much matching the center hub caps. I painted the lower front valance insert black. If that's supposed to be argent silver per pschlosser's comment above...

Question, zero disrespect, is the paint on the grille different from the tail panel? Seems there is "texture" on the tail panel, but not on the front grille? Hope I did not F' this up on my ride...

Welcome to the show. You have a couple of great parts on the lower front valance. Don't lose that trim or the plastic thing (don't know the correct term) above it. Those original ones are "hens teeth".

Thanks for all the input. Changed out the oil and filter. Took the filter to the machine shop that bored and decked the block, installed cam bearings and freeze plugs, and they took the filter apart. The Wix filter was very clean, not much metal at all. Just what you would expect to see for a...

I went to look at the Driven website and they recommend changing the break-in oil at no more than 300 miles. I have seen/heard different times or miles for this first change, so glad you made me look. Thanks much!

I used Driven 10W-40 break-in oil, Driven grease, and Driven lube for the initial break-in with a Wix filter. I now have Driven GP-1 10W-40 and another Wix filter ready to go in. Both oils have the levels of zinc preferred for the old school muscle car motors. I am running hydraulic lifters, so...

Just put 300 miles on the new motor rebuild. Mostly to car shows and wineries, lol. She sounds and runs GREAT. Hit the 4 barrel for the first time, dang she scoots! Time for a oil and filter change, or do I wait for 500 miles?

I went with Harland Sharp, so I will be finding these a new home. Anyone interested? Is $300 plus shipping acceptable? The shafts are in perfect condition. I'll take photos of them separately if you are interested.

Yep. From 327+.30 to 340+.30. Two of the best small blocks ever, IMO. And from Pennsylvania to Idaho.
