I personally love the look of pro street cars and have owned/built a few over the years. These days with today's tires, shocks and suspension technology big tires are not really needed.
Mark has mentioned it a time or two on the show in the earlier years. I think as of the later seasons cousin Dougie builds them and they just run them on their test stand now.
Welcome. Don't Gen III it. I would much rather see the stroker big block in it, with EFI added over a Gen III. However, it is your car. You are free to do as you please with your car.
Same here. I have over 269,000 on my red Charger. Over 215,000 by me. Most of my cars are not numbers matching anything and I beat on and enjoy each one as much as possible.
Oh, my fault. From my phone it appeared that this was the trim pieces pictured that had holes in them, not the top of the quarter panel as I see it now. Yes, both of my cars look like this as well with the holes in the quarters. Sorry for the confusion.
They are not supposed to have the two holes in them as pictured, which is why I assume you are looking for replacement pieces. They can be quite difficult to find any of all of the S.E. belt moldings and can be pretty expensive once found. Both of my 70's have them. I think they really dress up...
Or vise versa as I owned several of each and each one gets called the wrong name all the name. Obviously, always from the brand x'er's or non-car people type.
Okay, thanks. I made the front and rear torque boxes for one on my cars before. It was a very time consuming process for sure. I can respect your time in making the rears that you do make.
The spectators should always have to pay the entry fees. We being participants bringing the cars for everyone to see should be free. It would also bring more people with cars if it is free, which would bring in more spectators. $35.00 is stupid for just a car show.
I just made my own out of flat stock steel. I cut a square to fit with the channel, drilled a 1/4" hole, welded in a 1/4-20 studs and ground smooth on the top side.
