I am privleged to have a garage to keep my stuff warm, etc. But I need to re-engineer the Dr. Diff disc brake conversion on the Cuda. On my back. On cold concrete. With daily highs forcasted in the teens. I thinkI will do some work on the 1917 house restoration instead! Mark

    Wipers not working correctly

My 70 Challenger wipers work ok, but I do get them hanging up on the lower windshield molding. Any solutions? Hard to do much without risking either molding or glass. mark

Roseville Moparts Car Show Oct 5th

For next year, this is a very calm area with tons of traffic and lots of nearby parking (e.g., Kroger store less than 1/2 mile away). If you just are parking for the show you have no problems. Mark

Sell it or keep it, #'s matching 73 Cuda 340

Sell it and get a Modern 6.1L Charger/ Challenger supercharged special model and have fun. A lot closer to a Viper than anything you cna make your current car into without $$$$. I like stock E bodies, but the Modern Mopars are very tempting. M

Hello; An update. I replaced the radiator shroud (fits better but not perfect) and the cap (good catch folks) with a 16#. Took it to the Heinz Drive cruise last Sunday and it was better behaved in traffic, gague didn,t get over 3/4. Went to check temps with my infared tester, but a dead battery...

74 Cuda "Restroation", Three Owner Car

Hello all; I have two other E-bodies, but came to posses this 74 'Cuda as part of a package car deal. 318 car, A/C, auto, matching everything, I am the third owner but the second owner bought it in 1977 and drove it until three years ago. Mechanically excellent, with a cam, Thermoquad, headers...

    Coolant recommendation

Hello; The key point here is the aluminum radiator, etc. Combined with he iron engine this is a corrosion sensitive setup. Use a HOAT fluid, which has the anti corrosion chemistry to make this live. Leave the old green stuff for the all iron motors with brass radiators. Mark

    Royal Purple Trans Fluid?

Hello; I have some experience as a Product Manager for fluids at Mopar Parts Div. The Dextron Mercon that is currently available retail is the baseline compatible fluid for a 727 or 904 transmission. Almost always, newer fluids are designed to be backwards compatible with older fluids; usually...

Surety Bond in Leiu of Title

I went through a similar hell getting a title for a 74 Cuda I bought from the second owner in Georgia, where cars then were registered by county, some with titles, some with registrations. I dealt with a long list of some of the nastiest people on the planet, enlisted my state senator, etc. with...

    Back in the day pics

Even in the early 90's you could see e-Bodies, usually 318 cars, in the L.A. area Pick-A-Parts. Over several trips I got quarters, a door, fenders and a deck lid for my midwest 70 Challenger R/T. Mine weren't awful, but for $25 a fender it was cheaper to replace. I do recall a clean powder blue...

    71 Cuda 340 Convertible Restoration

First project is to get it on four wheels and hook up brakes. 71 Cuda 340 Convertible Restoration

Hi all; If appropriate, I would like to include my new project, a 71 'Cuda 340 convertible. Purchased in 2019, and picked up 4 days before rotator cuff surgery so it is off to a slow start. The prior owner was making it into a real street stormer with a Ray Barton built fuel injected 360 and...

    Sound Deadening for Doors

I improved the interior noise levels in my 70 Challenger R/T with the following: - Glued used OEM floor insulation (jute plus a tar-ish backing ) from a junkyard minivan (lots of flat material, and dirt cheap) to the insides of the door panel plastic. needed to avoid the space where it screws to...
