    Engine stalling when in gear.

What car? What carburetor and ignition do you have? Is the fuel fresh?

    Stock 340 - Swap 3.23 for 3.91 gears - is Suregrip overkill?

Yeah. Doing it on your back is real fun too. Love all that stinky gear oil running down your arm. Last time I did that my son helped me. Ah the memories!

    Stock 340 - Swap 3.23 for 3.91 gears - is Suregrip overkill?

I've done that too, but even getting that doggone chunk up on the jack is a struggle!!!

    Stock 340 - Swap 3.23 for 3.91 gears - is Suregrip overkill?

Wow, 4.56! Bet you could climb a telephone pole with that! Swapping 3rd members is not difficult when you're 25 but as we get older not so much! Ugh!

    New 512 build planning

Yeah, you have to send it to youtube, then you can post the link from that youtube video.

    New 512 build planning

That AVS2 will work very well for you. I also see you're using the Lokar throttle & kickdown cable system. I've used that setup on 3 of my Mopars and has been great. So much better than trying to find OE style brackets & rods and making them work with aftermarket intakes. I see the carb studs...

    TF727 suddently started slipping

Good for you for pulling the trans and preparing for a teardown! Tom's book will be a big help. Sounds like the transmission cooler setup is fine. Running a secondary cooler after the radiator is quite common, and will help the transmission stay cool. This is especially important if using a...

    Tick in my 360 la

A mechanics stethoscope is a friend when isolating noises. Not expensive thru amazon.

    Harness Wrapping

My wife had a seam ripper because she loved to sew. Would be tempted to "borrow" hers but I guarantee she would chase me around with her Fiskars scissors for even THINKING of taking her stuff!

Issues with bogging and suspected fuel pump output...

You had the problem begin after changing the cam. Did you degree the cam or stick it in "dot to dot"? If the latter you'd be surprised at how off the marks on the gears are. I had a guy build my 440 and it ran like a dog. Ended up going to a different block using the same cam & heads... but the...

    Camber Adjustment Question

I got adjustable upper arms from BAC. My alignment tech thanked me because it was so simple to adjust. Can also get much more caster than other methods.

    Engine install question

You're dating yourself! Was a great commercial! Did the little guy say "and I helped" or "and I hepped"?

    91 ethanol free or 93 w/10% ethanol

Ethanol free fuel costs more and down here is only 90 octane... which is inadequate for higher compression engines. I need to run 93 to make my engine happy.

Headers 340 1971 cuda power steering

The Dougs D453 would be a good header for your car.

    Blueprint motors

I bought one of their 408 engines and can tell you that it met all of my expectations. If you're wanting a very high quality engine then don't hesitate to get it from them. Their 30 month/50,000 mile warranty is unheard of in the aftermarket.

    Distributor length

Sometimes the description is incorrect, which obviously yours is! At least Summit has a good return policy! I would prefer to get the correct distributor but some have used a spacer to allow them to run the longer distributor in the low deck engines.
  18. Ricks72Chlgr440

    Distributor length

The longer one is for a raised block engine like a 413, 426 or 440. The shorter one is for the "B" big block engines like 361, 383, 400. I found this comparison which might be helpful. https://www.bigblockmopar.nl/tech/mopar-distributor-shaft-lengths/

440 Oil Capacity In my 70 Challenger

I would remark the dipstick and run it. You should be fine.

Pickup tube to oil pan depth

I'll tell 'ya what is so frustrating to me; we buy (expensive) parts and they don't fit without alteration. Seems the norm these days.
