I spoke with a couple people over the phone about this. My plan is to remove the pass side coolant plug in the block and install the sender. This will help keep things clean up front. Thanks for the feedback 😀
Hey all, can you help me locate a spot for a coolant temp sender. There is a plug on top of the thermostat housing but I'm not sure if that's the best location. If the thermostat was closed would the temp be accurate?
Motor is a hellcat.
Thanks in advance.
I have a lead on a dash for $700 with vents, glove box and lower panel under the steering wheel. I dont need the gauges or any electronics. After you cut the dash up, did you have to re cover it?
Yeah, that seems hard to do. So I take it you have all the factory AC controls and airbox under the dash too?
How was the fitment of the frame and dash itself? I'm using a challenger center console and I thought it would look nice paired with the factory Dash. Dakota Digital makes nice...
Did you use vintage air? We're the refrigerant lines hard or the vent hoses? I'm planning to use classic auto air, but it's basically the same thing.
Do you have any additional photos you can share?
Any updates on these dash swaps? I'm thinking about doing the same for my swap. I was also thinking about using universal Dakota digital 5" gauges in the cluster. I already have the challenger center console.
I had some free time over the weekend. I was able to get the front suspension mocked up. I'll work on the brakes this week, then I'll start on the rear. For a 55yr old car everything is fitting together surprisingly well. I just need to install the 3rd member, axles and brakes. I want to get the...
Hey all, been a while since I posted here. I ran into a little snag and need some advice. I want to run blower spacers to help reduce heat soak and IAT temps. I cut some blocks that are the same height as the spacers and the middle hood support hits the supercharger. It really only needs a 1/2"...
Update: it's been a while since I posted but I have been slowly making progress. My harness from Chris @ hotwire auto finally came in. Its' a nice harness, just wish it was more flexible. They used a thick heat shrink type material so it doesn't bend that good. He even made me an extension...
All the factory lines are gone and I'm running a returnless system. Being braided lines I wasn't sure if there was added concern if an accident happened side impact, and leaking fuel. Forgot to mention I'm also mini tubbed so there isn't a gap between the frame rail and inner fender to conceal it.
Hey all, I'm trying to figure out the best way to run my fuel line. I'm running -8AN (1/2") stainless braided PTFE. I also have US Cartool subframe connectors. Is there any issues running it along the outside rear frame rail to along the subframe connector to the front? This would be similar to...
