Well things fit pretty good. I was able to put a set of bumperettes with rubber strips on and they add a nice look with the blacked out tail panel. He'll just need some cleanup and a couple of spots of touch up paint.
Just out of interest if you blow up the picture on the back of the 73 and the left lower corner you'll see an original ziebart logo. It has plugs in the rocker panels and elsewhere where they sprayed inside. The car is an Ohio car and I believe the only reason it's not totally rotted out is...
The car you're looking at is an unrestored but painted barn find I got about 10 years ago. A 1973 340 cuda with rally gauges power steering and power brakes. The other car is a matching number front to back almost 5-year nut and bolt restoration. It is a 1972 high option with power steering...
I'm looking to convert my 73 cuda rear bumper to a 72 rear bumper. Does anyone know the difference in dimensions between the brackets for the two years. I am trying to avoid having to remove my 72 cuda's rear bumper to check this. Thanks in advance
Okay well I should have looked a little harder before asking this question. They appear to be upper door panel clips and I only have two instead of six. LOL
I'm getting close to the end of this project and have a clip that I need to identify and find its location. I'm in closed the picture on both sides of this clip. Any help would be appreciated. The clip was located in the parts bin for the door. There's one clip in each of the parts bins for the...
Just a quick follow-up. I found a set of originals that were an amazing condition and they fit perfectly. It's a shame that I obtained both PG classic and oer examples and they just weren't good enough for me. The oer examples still had machine marks on them.
I got my oer moldings for the top of my doors and quarter panels yesterday. Unfortunately one side had linear scratches and the other side had machine marks and were unusual. Back they go
I was just wondering if I could get some opinions about the anodized aluminum trim that goes on top of the door and quarter panels. I had a reproduction set from PG classic which I found to be quite brittle and hard to work with. And it doesn't appear to have the same appearance as my original...
I was able to dig up some old pictures and unfortunately what my body man did was measure the bottom of the molding clip and weld the studs there instead of measuring half an inch up.
Well a quick update on The rocker moldings. I talked to the body man and he told me that he measured the studs off of the old one and that they were 1 in down from the top of the rocker.????? So currently I have studs welded 1 inch down on the top of the rocker and we'll have to figure out what...
