Joined the Air force in 1980, served 5 years active and went into the reserves, then the Air National Guard till about 4 years ago only activated after 9/11 spent that time in Germany supporting enduring freedom in the old Yugo world.
so, yes thats a Fbody I raced in 93, learned allot then picked an abused 71 Challenger(318) that had no trunk or rear frame and I got the plans for the Kit car Mopar offered back in the day. Built the car in 12 weeks and scared the S%^$ out of the bowtie boys, I know that because the inspectors...
And now Fia-Mopar is remoured to pull the Challenger, when all they have to do is put it on a diet. Will this possible Cuda just be another disapointment that reuses a great car name? or will it be a head turner?
Why did Mother Mopar deside to make the E-bodies so simular, yet different? And why then did they change the challenger trim later? Does anyone know the reasons?
In twenty years the rice burners, would have been shredded, and hopefully kids will be hunting for real cars, our cars. The ones that, raise the blood pressure, turn the heads and brings a smile to face even when their not perfect.
I've owned 4 E-bodies; 1)73, 2) 71 challengers, and 1) 72 cuda, looking for my next Challenge to build a vanishing point car. Maybe a clone not sure. Still have a 69 Cuda formula S with my old stock car motor in it.
