    Fitech EFI - Pretty good

I built a multi port injection system using 110 lb / hr injectors , predrilled Eddy RPM intake , 1200 CFM Accufab T body & an SDSEFI controller , it worked flawlessly . Hand held tuner , better flow than a 6 pack intake & was a dry intake unlike TBI systems

    Mechanical Fuel Pump

What engine is it ? Big blocks use a pushrod that can wear down causing reduced or minimal flow , small blocks use a cam bolted to the front of the camshaft the pump should push fuel with every second crank rotation or 1 full rotation of the cam would be a full cycle of the pump so if the...

    500ci plus stroker, 550 hp 440 block

Might not make more power but it will last longer & with less internal stress , still a win , bet it does make less power ! Shorter lighter pistons & less sideways force against the outer cylinder walls

    Any height difference?

the 70 intake only has the smaller carb flange for AVS carbs , you might get a 750 AVS to work but the primary holes are smaller , Holley type carbs will work with a spacer

    Any height difference?

The intakes are very similar other than the different carb mounting , personally if you have a good TQ I would use that & the 73 intake

Low Torque from 440BB and troubleshooting/solutions

The basic problem is the converter is locked up before the cam is in the powerband you should be able to feel when the cam starts to really work , you need a converter in that rpm range , if the cam starts working at 2400 get a 2600 stall for example . Gear vendor is a great addition for OD

Hemi Conversion.."to be or not to be"

The 73 340 was a poor engine at best , all the good parts were gone , steel crank , good heads & cam all gone . The obvious choice is a 412 stroker using the block , externally it will still look stock / numbers matching depending on heads used , easy to upgrade with A/C. There are far better...

    Brake assembly

Difficult to answer , there are different brake pkgs , 70 R/T could have 10.5 disc or 11" x 3" drum in front , it used a unique proportioning valve 70 only , should have 10" x 2" drum on the rear 72-74 Should be disc only on the front but the caliper , spindle & brg size is different & 10 X 2"...

    500ci plus stroker, 550 hp 440 block

I have been using the Ultradyne cams for decades , Lunati bought Ultradyne & Harold went with them , Holley bought Lunati & Harold created the Voodoo series as well as keeping the Ultradyne grinds , Why Holley sold I have no clue . The specs on 2-3 points on the lobe don't tell the whole story...
