    Hello from Tennessee

DMoore, Very Nice Fish! I’m sure we can all relate to sourcing parts and costs. 1970 has many parts that are one year only. Hard to source and expensive. Some of your old parts can be restored for far less and actually be way better than reproduction parts. The Master Brake Cylinder $$$ is one...

    Rear Sway Bar question

Cool Suspension Photo, wish mine would have came with the 340 or 383. Having put the Sway Bars on front & back has really made a difference. Even with my little LA 318 it firmed up the ride nicely. 🌴

    Door Adjustment

Absolutely, very good point those vert windows aren’t cheap to replace. I can see that once the door is adjusted the quarter window and passenger window will need to be readjusted too. 🌴

    Door Adjustment

Thank you, that’s good to know. If it will adjust to the right a 1/4 inch it should pull my door into proper alignment. I checked my 1970 Service Manual also it’s really vague on the Striker Bolt & Latch Assembly. With no info on ability to make any adjustments. 🌴

    Door Adjustment

Thanks Cuda Joe, looking at the Striker Post it appears to just bolt in with a fixed nut on the backside. Doesn’t look like it can be adjusted inward or outward (meaning right or left). However I could be wrong. Once I get the right bit to remove it I will see if there is any way to adjust it to...

    Door Adjustment

Thank you. I’m just a backyard engineer and was thinking that either the Striker Post or Latch Assembly would pull the door in as needed. So yeah if the Post can be adjusted that should be the fix. I will give that a try. Also this door does need to be adjusted back a bit so I will use the door...

    Door Adjustment

Appreciate the info MrCuda. I was working on the door seals when I noticed the door wasn’t aligned. The gaps are pretty good around the doors. I will attempt adjusting the door in using your advice. Regards Rob 🌴

    Door Adjustment

My passenger side door does not align when shut as shown in the attached photo. The door needs to come in about a 1/4 inch. Before I start tinkering can the door latch assemble be loosened with the three Philip screws so it can be adjusted to correct the issue? Or is there another way to adjust it?🌴

    Biggest Tires???????

Hi Kansas, I’m thinking simply go with the widest front tire that fits with no issues on a stock fish. This size tire should work on the rear as well keeping all four tires the same size in the widest configuration possible. 🌴

    Rear Sway Bar Question

No the bar was positioned correctly, but it was a B Body Sway Bar not an E Body. That’s why it appeared odd. I just sourced an E Body Sway Bar so I’m good now. Here is a photo from MrCuda showing the difference. The Orange one is an E Body bar. 🌴

    Rear Sway Bar Question

I sourced and installed an old origin rear sway bar in my fish. The Sway Bar is level with the car but the end connector holes do not sit over the axel bracket holes. So the end connector/bushings sit at about a 15-20 degree angle rather than straight up. I attached the frame mounts using the...

    Restored Fuel Sending Unit

Bill had it back to me in a week. I gotta tell you my Unit was really bad after sitting in the old tank since 1985. This guy is amazing! 🌴
