Are there B body sway bars? I have E body sway bar, but the springs have been moved in 1" per side. So there's a mismatch angle on the links.

Check all the rubber lines from tank to pump. I had similar issue and it turned out to be a pin hole in the rubber line. Pump couldn't get suction.
