Not 'Factory' installed Things found on your Mopar -

Your friends may have been a "Chapman" alarm system. If you google Chapman alarms that exact alarm system shows up.

    cooling combo questions …

I used Mattson's custom radiator for my custom electric cooling fans. For some reason their website is down. Here are a few links. https://www.alloyworksplus.com/?spm=..index.header_1.1&spm_prev=..search.header_1.1 Mopar Radiators High Performance Radiators that Look & Feel Right - Cool Craft...

    Steering column bearing

Is that the end of the steering column that's in the engine compartment? If so, this what mine looked like before I replaced the old part.

Not 'Factory' installed Things found on your Mopar -

I don't have a picture but my car had the 80's "Chapman Lock" anti theft system installed. The locking part was under hood that slid into an L'bracket once the push button with key release under the dash next to the hood release was depressed. These images I found online, not from my car but...

    Steering column bearing

My 73 did not have any bearing at the end just a foam seal to help keep dust dirt and wind from coming up into the column. The steering box will hold the shaft in the correct location.

    Front disc installation

I have the same brakes on my Barracuda but drilled and slotted rotors. The car stops great, very hapy with the disc brakes. Did you also buy the proportioning valve from the donor vehicle?

    Dents in rear frame rails

I had another 73 barracuda that was drag raced and had the same "kink" in that spot but only on the passenger side. On my car, I think it was from drag racing.

73 barracuda front valance mounting verification needed..

My 73 used the top picture. Three bolts and metal clips that are mounted to the lower valance out of sight below the grille and the two screws on each end with metal clips.

    Fuel spillage

That has happened to me as well, I stopped locking the trigger and hold the handle until it starts to gurgle and stop pumping.

    cooling combo questions …

Since your car was a non A/C car the radiator opening will only fit a 22" radiator and if you did want to fit a 26" radiator, you will loose 2" of cooling per side. I would do like Chryco Psycho said and buy a good 22" radiator.

    Steering Column Position/Steering Resistance

I noticed you stated the horn would go off when turning the wheel in either direction. Did you change the steering wheel or remove it to make more clearance when puling your dash? I would check the connection from the crush can to the horn switch under your horn button. The wire may be rubbing...

    70 Challenger Restomod begins

WOW! Sorry to hear about your baby. At least no one was hurt. On another note, now you can check the neutral safety switch and wiring so that this does not happen again.

    Too Tight Steering

I was thinking about the tight steering and maybe the idler arm bolt is to tight and is squeezing the bushing against the mount. As if the sleeve in the bushing is too short to stop this from happening.

    Black Paint for interior

I have never seen white kick panels. If anyone has a/some pictures I would like to see how it looks. My car came with black.

    Too Tight Steering

I rebuilt my front end also and have no steering tightness. When I brought it in for the alignment, I was told that I have play in the steering due to the steering box being worn. The alignment is good but could be better if not for that. In order to get the play out of the steering box, I...

    Door Adjustment

I had the same problem with my car. I had purchased brand new door weatherstrip in the 90's from AM SoffSeal. After hours of adjusting the striker and upper and lower hinges I found that the new door weatherstrip was too firm and did not allow the door to close properly. I luckily saved my...

73 barracuda truck extension missing curiosity.

If I remember correctly, they were plug welded to the trunk floor, outer wheelhouse, tail panel and quarters. Where the qtr extension meets the bottom of the quarter panel was plug welded too. Seam sealer is used in the trunk to seal the panels abutting the extensions.

    Key release

I have some pictures of my 73 barracuda steering column disassembly I can post. I don't see a wavy washer in my pictures. Can you post a picture? Is a 73 Challenger column different?
