    Molnar connecting rod oiling question

A good friend gifted me an almost brand new set of Molnar H Beam connecting rods for my 340. I noticed it does not have an oiling hole out the side that would align with the hole in the rod bearing. Something I'm missing?

Classic Industries has the 15" Rallye wheels if that is what you are looking for. That's where I got my "spare".

    340 piston options

Yep. I just read that in the instructions. I'll follow it to a T. Thanks for the heads up.

    340 piston options

I hear ya. Chevron (I use loyalty points) has by default 91 octane "blue" fuel that is running about $2.55 per gallon here. As little as I plan driving it, really not a hugh cost savings. No biggie. Pistons and rings show up today - Life is good!

    340 piston options

That was an unknown plus after leaving California for Idaho. Ethanol free 91 octane gas is readily available here. And in reality, I'll probably be closer to 10:1 after running the numbers.

I went with the Keith Black pistons from Summit. They will be here Friday. Sweet! Thanks - John.

    340 piston options

Boring my 340 block .30 over. I have a stock forged crank (being turned .10), forged stock connecting rods, full floating wrist pins, and Edelbrock RPM Performer aluminum heads. I'm going with a roller cam & lifters, and roller rockers this time. I will not be racing this car and do not plan to...

Is Scat Enterprises now a scam?

Thanks for your comments. There are two shops near me that come highly recommended, so I will hit both up with your questions and go with the best answers. Cheers!

Is Scat Enterprises now a scam?

Just a follow up. After requesting Scat to return my 50% deposit, they did. And they did not charge me the 20% restocking/cancellation fee, which would have been salt in the wound. Prop's for them for doing the right thing when requesting my money back. Just wanted to get that out there.

Is Scat Enterprises now a scam?

I have a 340 warranty block and I just can't not build it. I love the look of the old school engine.

Is Scat Enterprises now a scam?

Thanks for the advise. Yes, I will be a little more hands on this time. I may just order all the parts separately and have a local racing shop balance the rotating assembly. Still waiting on Scat to refund my money.
