Hi! I'm the new guy! You will be amused at my message!

Welcome to the group. We also have a '73 Rallye. Bought it from the original owner in March of '91 who had seen the movie Vanishing Point and decided she was going to move. The SPD is July of '73 but was actually assembled in June. Originally a very basic car (low option), 318, column shift 904...

    Holley efi

In the past on Mopars, the alternator provide an issue with the engine running at idle but not with a load. A new dual field alternator had to be installed and one field grounded. Try starting the engine and while it is idling, unplug the voltage regulator to see if the problem goes away. Also...

Link to the video of our run up Pikes Peak. No windshield wipers, no defroster. No vision at all on the below Glen Cove and yes, I put the front tires off.

    Trying to find original dealership

You need to contact Ola Nilsson. I know he wrote the book on 71 Cudas but he is a wealth of knowledge and may be able to help with a 70. As I understand it, the first two numbers in the VON, Vehicle Order Number, are the zone code. Knowing this will get you in the region the original dealership...

    Awesome 71 Cuda

The clutch operation stuff on our car is factory mechanical linkage, even use the factory plastic bushings clips. It has all been in place since the current engine was installed in 2007. CenterForce Dual Friction clutch and a billit flywheel. ARP hardware everywhere I can use it.

    Awesome 71 Cuda

I forgot to mention I use an accusump for insurance. The bottle is mounted to the old console brackets. The car has a custom oil pan which has gates which provide the sump with half the pan's capacity under any g load. I have pulled rod/main bearings from an engine that was ran without the...

    Awesome 71 Cuda

Cool car. What brand are the mini-lite style wheels? The reason I ask is I have a set for the Cuda which are 15x8 Superlites from Australia. I couldn't afford the real-deal minilites. They look great on cars like yours and mine, period T/A correct. Wow, you have done a lot of work on your car...

    Awesome 71 Cuda

Very cool car. Looks to be Chev powered with those angled injector stacks and mag at the back of the block. Funny how large and yet how small the PPIHC community is. I have traveled a little and people always comment or have a Pikes Peak story to tell. Tell me about your Cuda.

    Awesome 71 Cuda

You are a lucky person to have grown up here and been able to work this race. We owe a huge "Thank You" to the people who volunteer to work this event. 16 Mile is the end of the W section. My favorite part of the course is from Glen Cove to Devils. Tell me about your '71. My email address is...

    Awesome 71 Cuda

The car is nothing fancy, still T-bars and leafs just different springs rates. F/R anti sway bars, 4 wheel disc, small block with w5 heads and a carb, close ratio 4 speed inside Passon aluminum cases, 8 3/4 with 4.30 gears on a Detroit TruTrac carrier to help launch the heavy thing off the...

Thanks for the warm welcome. We have participated in two of the Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week events with the Challenger. It isn't a fast car so we went to have fun and see the countryside which was spectacular each time. I would highly recommend DW or Rocky Mountain Race Week. Great people and...

Hello, my name is Jess Neal. Thanks for allowing us to join. We own a 73 Challenger Rallye and a 71 Cuda. As always they are works in progress. The Challenger currently has a 360/904/8.75/3.55 and is a daily driver type of car. The Cuda is a non-street legal road course car, w5 headed...
