    Fuel blending question

I’ve been able to drive my new-to-me ‘Cuda for several weeks now, and have been getting to know the car and it’s sounds, behaviors and build details. Turns out the motor has aluminum Edelbrock heads installed on it. I thought they were highly ported iron heads at first. But a magnet confirmed...

Question on door latch pin in quarter panel jamb, ‘72 ‘Cuda

Thanks gents. Agree that the need to alter the pin opening is a bit strange, but getting the door to quarter alignment right means I need to do that. The existing door gaps have some room to go make this adjustment. first picture shows the door alignment with it closed and latched. The...

Question on door latch pin in quarter panel jamb, ‘72 ‘Cuda

I need to lower the door latch pin on my car to better align the closed door to the quarter panel. Loosening the latch pin with a torx wrench, and sliding it downward to the limit of the hole in the jamb does not give me enough adjustment downward. The pin needs to go lower by perhaps 3/32”...

    1970 Baracuda Restomod Begins

Fabulous build. I like your bold move width the gray paint choice against the blue interior. are you still thinking about applying Hemi billboards? What colors are you considering?

2 SHOWS IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS...BOTH FIRST PLACE TROPHIES FOR THE OLD CHALLENGER

Badass, old school approach with your Challenger… the decals on the quarter glass and the Lakewood bars rock.

Still dealing with vibrations and runnability issues...

agree with challenger RTA to check your spark advance with a timing light, or swap out dizzy with a known good one if you can. Could it be a fuel delivery problem? I recently solved a stumble on a different motor that would occur when applying larger throttle openings while driving. I first...

    Fuel blending question

Psycho, thanks for the input. Yep, it’s going to be a bit of trial and error. I don’t think I need a big boost in octane, but i‘d like to find a safe and reasonably economic blend.

    Fuel blending question

I drove my newly acquired '72 'Cuda today, and am getting the feel of it bit by bit. As I was getting more aggressive with the throttle openings, I believe I heard some light knock "pinking" at around 3500+ RPM. The motor is a 440>496 stroker with CR listed at 10.4:1 with Diamond pistons, iron...

    Hello from British Columbia, Canada

Sheesh, what a catastrophic injury - from a lump of coal… we never know what’s around the next bend, do we? but it seems persistence is paying off for you after having both the car and parts stash moved wherever you go. >>>Started buying parts, there is alot more parts now then back when I...

    Hello from Connecticut

Hey- thanks for the warm welcome! And I should know better: pictures or it didn’t happen. heywodja, I hope I didn’t jinx myself with my comment on it being a completed car. But there seems to be nothing I need to do right now other than put a plate on it and drive it. But, are they ever...
