    AAAHHHH ENGEENERS Who need them!

Emission inspection is no more than a money grab, why? Because 90% of the cars on the road are NEW cars where nothing is wore out yet. South Carolina has no inspections and have no problems. For the most part they keep their cars up

    Hemi frame mounts

Yes, I know all the variables with ‘k-frames’ and their uses. I do like the measurements given on spacing (I’ll copy that). I have two cars (actually 3 but not in discussion) (64 Savoy & 73 Barracuda) both have the b-engine mounts. With the 64 I have a set of conversion mounts (bought 20 years...

    Hemi frame mounts

is there a place to by the frames mounts for a 426 Hemi? Or if someone has patterns? I could make the patterns off my 66 frame thought it would be easier if made already.

    426 Hemi Motor Mounts

I’m looking to change the reg k frame (66 b body) over for my Hemi, how much are you asking for the frame brackets? 64-65 had the engine more forward, 66 and up are the same set back.

A833, Hard to get in any gear.

I’ll add, when ‘slick shifting’ the trans, every other tooth is removed on gear and slider, brass rings are removed except in first gear, to allow faster engagement (more spacing)

A833, Hard to get in any gear.

They ALL have syncros except reverse. The input still turns because of friction even with clutch pushed in, which in turn (pun intended) turns the cluster which turns the gears at different speeds. So when moving the synchro into whatever gear, it pushes the brake (brass ring) to slow down or...

A833, Hard to get in any gear.

Since it was rebuilt I would check for a bad synchronizer. Easy to shift when engine not running plus it’s usually easy while moving down the road if bad. Those brass rings are little brakes to stop each gear to allow engagement.

    An Industrial 413 Build

Mine kept coming loose and falling out no matter how tight I got them. Then after looking in service manual it said to tighten so many INCH pounds, did it and they never got loose again. After 50 years I’m a firm believer of Chryslers specs.

    73 Challenger change over

Just thinking of making a 70 NHRA stocker, more engine choices for that year. Doesn’t have to be exactly perfect, like said cosmetic
