Thanks, there were two engines I looked at, a 64 413 (car engine) and the one I bought (no heads). I had a 426 industrial block a long time ago (mid 70s) and for some reason I thought it had more ribs on side. But from what you say I’m sure this one is ok now (no casting numbers saying what size...
Do you have a pic of the total side of block? I picked up a 413 awhile back (a72) supposed to be an industrial block, I’m thinking out of a motor home. Were your original pistons dished? Did it have a smaller diameter HB? I want to bore to 4.25 size. Thanks great to work with the son imo
Question on cowl numbers, my 73 was a rust bucket with roof and rockers left ok. New inner fenders, cowl, firewall, floors, front frames, trans t-bar crossmember, 2”x 3” frame out the back and I back halved it. Like I said roof and rockers were all that left. Was a 318 car nothing special...
Well my 73 Cuda will get sheet aluminum because of the side bar would be over in my ribs to get around those arm rest protrusions. Also using the 73-74 inside a-body door handles in front of ‘panel’ either painted or vinyl.
Thanks everyone, for some reason years ago I had removed those boosters, one of my smart moves from way back in the day, the list # is for a 70 so I’ll remove 2 from a junk carb to get it built back right for future use.
Anyone have a picture looking down into the carb (Holley) on these engines? If I remember right the primary Ventura’s are like the 1850 series and the back is like the double pumpers.
Tom and I will have to talk first then look at his car and he look at my truck to see if he really wants to trade. Way to many maybes right now. But I appreciate the interest.
