    Definately sounds like the bulkhead connector. Unplug the wiring harness where it enters the bulkhead connector on the firewall and look for melted terminals, I bet the hot lead from the alternator was corroded and started to ground out and got hot causing the smoke. In my experience with...

    Mopar vs Chevy??

    I've owned 8 first generation Camaro's and several MOPARS. I personally prefer the ride and performance of all the MOPARS I've owned over any of my Camaros. Plus Mopars aren't a dime a dozen like the Chevys you mentioned. Hey its a personal opinion, but this is a E BODY ONLY SITE!!!

    Thanks Chrco Psycho, I was able to find the special puller and successfully got the old pulley off and the new one pressed on.

    I just bought a billet serpentine pulley set up from 440 source and can't figure out how to remove the alternator pulley and install the new billet one without damaging it. Any information would helpful. Thanks:help:
